Angry Leather Up Sucks!!!

I bought a set of X-Element riding boots in February from Leather Up. After 2 months, the zipper broke! I emailed Leather Up and never received any reply, so today I called them. After being on hold for over 7 minutes, the receptionist tells me that they are very strict with their 30 day return policy and said that I should pay to have them repaired at a shoe repair. Great customer service, eh? She should work in Harley's warranty department. When I mentioned that I would be posting their lack of customer service on several motorcycle boards, her reply was go right ahead, I don't care. I'd go barefoot before buying from them again!

It sucks the zipper broke after TWO months but don't they state they have a 30 day return policy? I have never seen anything about a warranty on their site.

I bought a pair of chaps back on Feb 21st. The order took two days to arrive. I ordered a size 42, got a size 48. I returned them the same day. It took them a month from the date of them signing for the return to acknowledge them being returned. By then they were sold out of my size. On my first email they told me they hadn't signed for the shipment, when I pointed out the tracking number, date, time and who singed for it they claimed they lost the package in the warehouse. It has been two months and I have yet to receive the replacement. They have replied to most of my emails, but ignored the last two. Their replacement policy posted on their site states replacements will be sent within 3 to 5 working days for a size only exchange. I would try www.hotleathers.com next time. Leather up's website shows they are out of most items or sizes quite often and most of their leather stuff comes from Pakistan. I was told in one email by them they reorder stock every 90 days. But it is cheap on the wallet. I have heard stories of items with crappy sewing and seams falling apart.

I don't think we'll hear back from erniezap...he just stopped by to complain. ie; He told the company he would be "posting their lack of customer service on several motorcycle boards" No introduction, no hello....and now he's gone. See ya....I'd hate to think I wouldn't know how to handle a broken zipper a full month after the return policy expires. Like maybe just getting it fixed. Then again, you get what you pay for.

Also thier warranty is from the time it leaves thier door until it returns to them. One week travel each way leave two weeks warranty. It's not when you recieve the item until you call them for the return.

It cost me about 25% of the purchase price to return a defective item. I'd never buy from them again.
