I still use my old Harley jacket that I purchased new in 95. I was amazed that all the new Harley leather is made in China, my old 95 jacket is made in the U.S.A.

I am keeping my old one as I think it is ridiculous to pay the high price for a jacket made in China.

Try Chicago HD or Hales HD online shopping. They are both 20% off online purchases.

Forget the H/D jacket and try Fox Creek leathers.

Lots of opinions on the subject thats for sure. Here is what I do. If I see or hear of a jacket that strikes my interest I go to my local dealer and try it on if its in stock. I own 3 Harley jackets and it seems that each one fits slightly different. Once I know that size I need, I order online thru Chicago HD or Surdyke (Hales). Chicago HD is where I have had the best luck so far. The jacket I wanted was not in stock in my size. They ordered it and I had in less than 2 weeks. The only excpetion is if the jacket is on back order and they will notify if it is.

Now as far as eBay is concerned, I have had excellent results dealing with St. Paul Harley Davidson. THey go by the name Harleyrider2899 or something like that on eBay. I used Buy It Now in one of their auctions to purchase my leather FXRG jacket and I got it for $459 for a size Large. Retail on the jacket is $595! I thought that it was a bit high for a jacket but has quickly become my favorite.

My only other input is that if you want a motorcycle jacket , then buy a MOTORCYCLE jacket. A leather jacket designed for riding will be more comfortable to wear when your in the saddle becuase they take into consideration, your seating position, ventilation, zip up cuffs and other creature comforts. Stay away from a generic leather jacket.

Also the FXRG jacket comes with a 5 year warranty.

peace--

I'm on the phone w/ em right now getting a pair of chaps.

I got their vented racer jacket earlier in the year & I'm impressed!

Erma, just came back to me & since they don't have the chaps in the size I need, she found a set of the braided ones & is givin' em to me for the same price as the plain...

But if ya hafta have a HD jacket...Chicago HD...

Don't forget Zanotti motors in PA. I get all my HD parts through them at 20 to 25 % off. They can order anything that has a HD part number to include leathers and helmets.

Don't know about Zanotti's. I received this from the parts department yesterday:

We are temporarily halting Internet sales, especially international sales. The extra paper work it takes and the volume of sales are forcing us to cut back. We will be unable to do any research for any part numbers. The shopping cart will still be running. We will take care of the sales already pending and will continued doing some sales. We decided this because there are only a couple of us doing the Internet and our health and families are suffering. We will resume once the company hires and trains more people. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we trust you will understand
