Thumbs up Timm's H-D, Anderson SC

Okay, had a new one happen today. I was about 125 miles into a 400 mile day and turned across a speed bump in a gas station. When I did this, I apparently scraped the kickstand spring and it came off. It is almost impossible to get back on in a parking lot with no tools and it was somewhat damaged so I rode about 5-6 miles holding the stand up with my foot to Timm's H-D. They had me out of there with a new spring in less than 10 minutes. One guy went to get the part while somebody else wrote me up and they popped it on while I was using the bathroom. The icing on the cake was that they only charged me for the cost of the spring - $6.36. That is the cheapest trip I have ever made to a service department.

We always hear the complaints so I wanted to give credit when it is due. Thanks!

Bluz... always good to hear of a good deed.....

I will add them to my list of stops on my rides.... I like to stop in and tell these kind of folks that I heard good things about them .....

and of course buy a new shot glass to try out....

Timm's is a good place. Your story doesn't surprise me at all. I bought two bikes from them last year, and they gave me fair prices (MSRP and freight) and excellent customer service. The parts department is one of the friendliest I have encountered in any H-D dealership. You always get 10% HOG discount on parts. Their service department is also good. One time I was trying to put on a Kuryakin license plate holder on my FLHX but couldn't get my hand between the fender and the rear tire to work on it, so I took it to Timms. The owner was in the back when I showed up so he pulled my bike in and went to work on it himself. Only charged me for the 30 minutes it took him to do the job too.
