Rate This Road King Custom Paint Set on Scale of 1 to 10

We have custom painted 1000s of Bikes for the Factory, but this design is being considered for a very small production run at Colormania. 10 sets are for the US and 5 sets go to the UK.

We are thinking about producing a limited production run of only 15 Road Kings in this design and color combination (every set will be different, to keep them unique), but like to know how many of you would rate this paint job above 8 on a scale of 1 to 10.

If we get very positive ratings from you, then 15 Road King sets of tins will go into production this month. If not; then we have to create another design.

Of course we like this design, but we also agree that you are the final authority; therefore, we appreciate your honest opinion.

A- Rate the paint job on scale of 1 to 10
B- Would you put a paint job like this on your own bike? Yes / No

Thumbs up Rate this paint set

I personally like blue flames and graphics, but I would do without the checker flag. Might be something a NASCAR fan would appreciate. 1 - 10 I give it a 7.5 - 8. Being a current owner of one of the original 2000 radical paint sets #15/100 Turquoise with silver brandywine flames and skulls on a FLHRI, I am a huge fan of your work. Keep it coming. My '07 Black Pearl FLHXI is getting the itch. Maybe something pearl green ghost flames set into the pearl black.
Thanks, Mike

I would give it a 7, but would like to see the tins out in the sun to see if it pops

Mike, Thank you for sharing your honest opinion. You have one of our paint jobs since almost 9 years! The oldest one I have found on this forum so far is 14 years, and according to the owner; still winning bike shows.

If you have a photo of your bike with the factory paint, please share it with us on this Thread or email me a copy.

We just released one of our secrets into the market; it is a polish for paint & chrome and I love to send you a bottle at absolutely no cost, if you would just try it on your bike and give us another honest feedback on this forum. All I need is a mailing address to send you this new polish. You can read about it on another Thread we have running under: Forum Sponsor section see: Colormania

In regards to your 07 FLHXI; I personally love ghost flames & have painted a lot of bikes like that. The key to a nice ghost flame job is to make the flames totally disappear when out of light! Flames should be visible only when light hits them. Let me find a photo of one we did and I will post it here.

Thanks again,
Cory

I'd give it an 8 and I'd put it on my bike.

Hard to judge a photo vs the real thing. Assuming the application was flawless I'd give the design a 7. I wouldn't put it on my road king but I might on a Vrod or something with a performance theme.

Arrow Custom Radical Paint Set

Cory,
Here we are on Main Street @ 2008 Sturgis Rally. I actually saw another one numbered 87/100 and wasn't in very good shape. I have used Mequiar's on this one and it is holding up great for nine years old. I have 4 pics posted on my gallery. Feel free to check them out. I, too believe ghost flames should be exactly that. I like how the skulls in this paint disappear as the light goes away.

I'll email you my address to Colormania.com so I can try your new product and give you an honest opinion. Thanks for your generosity and look forward to doing business with you on the Street Glide. Mike

Mike,
Thanks for sharing these photos. Nice Bike (I'm not sure if compliment from the painter actually counts.

6 out of 10. I am not a big fan of the design together, but individually it's awesome. IMO the tribal doesn't fit with the flames and checker pattern. I think if the tribal design was reworked somehow it would be a different story.

Yes

I would rate it a 7-8. Something different than what is out there. really hard to visually imagine what this would look like on a RK, but I think it would look pretty cool, especially in the sun. If you every get this paint set on a bike, gotta post some pics.

Here's some pics of my ride, no close up shots though. Factory paint in '05.

PM sent
