This time of year again

From today (Thanksgiving) until January 2nd can be a test on sobriety especially new people and even long timers. Be careful and remember the monster is right around the corner. Feel tempted call a friend or go to a meeting but do something. Feeling lonely maybe you don't have any family around then volunteer I know they can use help this time of year.
The Holidays can test the best of us.

As a non drinking non alcoholic, I wish all of you well in staying sober during the holidays. I know how much external pressure there is to drink during the period.

My sponsor was supposed to speak tonight on his 10th year of sobriety. He relapsed a few weeks ago and spent 4 days strapped down in ICU with DT's & seizures.
I'm coming up on 9 years in Feb. I like sobriety. More pleasant than the previous hell.

i was just sitting in my garage on friday between hanging lights outside thinking about this exact thing. attend meetings, work with others. Do not isolate. use the phone. All the things that got me to today and not to think it could ever be different this time even if the media package it up in pretty glasses, back lighting, sexy women and party times...it is a lie for me. Proven and always will be...happy holidays everyone and God bless

Holidays don't matter, if you wanna drink it's right down the street at the liquor store. They're open all year.
