one year smoke free

Yesterday was 1 year.

Here is what not smoking is paying for. I bought this about two months after I quit. Better investment and a lot more fun.
The difference between my Focus and this Ranger was about what the smokes were costing and I have a couple bucks left over.

I went to a retreat of professionals in 1977. 85% smoked and it was a fog and I contributed to it.
In 1987, 85% did not smoke...I still did. I quit a few years later. Congratulations on getting control.....!!

Congratulations! I will be smoke-free for six years on 5/30 and it feels great. It is the second best thing I have done (getting sober being the best).

Congrats vin. It can be hard at times, but keep
the faith brother. It's been 7 years last Dec.27 for me.
Got sober 7-27-02. Now that was difficult. easy now.
I just don't want to go back there. Congrats again.

Congrats on the 1-yr anniversary. I quit dipping tobacco almost two years ago. The first year was tough as I still had to fight through all of the triggers, even though I had long "detoxed" myself of needing nicotine. I found that during the second year the triggers are basically gone. Hopefully the same happens you you, if it hasn't already.

It's amazing how much money I was spending on it. I was essentially dipping 1 can of Copenhagen/day. Not only was I spending money on the Copenhagen, I was also buying other things, I didn't need, from the store. I essentially quit a $6-8 dollar/day habit.

I agree with HiAngle, since I don't go to the store for butts, I am not constantly getting 20bucks out of the atm, although the cigs were 550 @ 7-11, all in all I probably spent around 8 a day on them.

And that extra couple bucks goes for more 380 ammo?

You're right about not spending money on just nicotine, it was a bunch of other crap also.
I still have triggers for sure but they are getting a lot less.

I like the fact I can now run where before walking winded me.
Tuesday was leg day and I did 1 warm up set and 6 working sets of squats. NEVER in a million years could I have done that smoking.

Pheeeeenominal Vindex!!! You must feel proud and you should. I quit 12.27.98 and it was the best thing I did. Prolly would be dead by now like the old man if I did'nt.
