Excellent new forum, Lightin!
Here's the kind of stuff they're building at Furious Cycles in Fort Wayne - best thing about it is the paint, hard to see the details from these pics but that vertebrae and bones theme is throughout the paint, very deep and very gorgeous.

I THINK the bike above has an S&S, but can't swear to it. The Furious guys say that they can build you whatever you want ...

Actually you know, that could be a pretty cool section of the CHOPPER Talk forum - reviews/pictures of visits to custom builders' shops.

Lightnin...
If I was gonna chop that sporty just a bit... I would do a two inch tank lift and remove the 100th graphic as was shown in another thread today. Two easy things to do that would give you a pretty cool look. Maybe later you could get a new triple tree and rake it out a few degrees more... with the tank lift providing some additional air over the rocker covers it would look great IMHO.

I'm going to go to a wide glide front end after I sell my bagger, put on some Hallcraft fat spokes on the front and rear. I have yet to see a tank lift on a late model sporty to determine whether i like it or not. I'm keeping the paint stock for now until I'm all but forced to change it (which would take a major dent/ding). I might have a tall sissy bar put on as well.

I agree, but they are kind of spendy ($$$$). I think they want $28K for that bulldozer.

Uh Lightnin'...couldn't help but notice your comments about possibly adding some Hallcraft wheels to your Sporty. Have you seen this post by David Price ? Scroll down to the 8th post to see the news here : http://www.harleydavidsonforum.com/f...ight=hallcraft
Do whatever floats your boat...just passing along some important info.

Breeliz,
Tank lift sounds like a cool idea. I have a superglide that I'm currently lowering the suspension on. I'll temporarily lift the tank just to see how that looks. It may have a cool contrasting effect.
How would I permanently lift the tank? Fabricate spacers?
