Chopper to Custom Trike Conversion

Hi all,

I am in the midst of converting a chopper to a trike. I built the chopper in 1999/2000. I have now sectioned the rear and have added a custom trike chassis that I scratch built out of chrome moly tubing. It is chain driven and I will post some pics as soon as I can.

The motor is a 131 Merch with only about 6000 original miles on it.

My question relates to the oil pump which is a Pro Flow since it seems that they are no longer in business and neither is Merch.

I have had a constant oil drip since the bike sat for a number of years and have now diagnosed where it is coming from. The leak is coming from just under the rear engine mount where the cases join. Since this is up rather high, I assumed that the sump was filled with oil as a result of the oil tank draining through he oil pump.

I pulled the vent line off (just above the pump) and turned over the engine. To my surprise, it pumped out almost a quart and then cleared.

I am not familiar with this pump and it is different from a stock HD type. I have read about a stuck check ball, but can't find one on this pump.

I am going to pull the motor to clean it up as I make progress with the build and was wondering if anyone knows how to remove/service the pump.

Sorry for the novel.

Thanks..
