insurance

I will be having my bike built and was wandering what insurance company that will give you full coverage insurance? I looked at progressive but they only do liability. Some won't do a 42 degree of rake.

You have to have previous insurance. Right now I don't have a car yet either just trying to get some quotes right now.

The only one that would insure my chopper for full coverage was foremost. I now have allstate with even better coverage. My rates are 100 a month though. Not all allstate places will insure it because it is considered one of a kind.

I had to go through Foremost. I found out that if you go to buy insurance at a regular insurance company, and they can't look up your make and model in their books, that they have no way of knowing how to write a policy. If anyone else knows of any insurance companies that insures builds I like to know. Seems like I'm paying a lot for an annual policy. My bike does not have a radical look. Looks basically like a Fatboy.

special construstions are a bit harder to get insurence, try not to explain to the agent the charicteristics of your bike too much, I have found geico and farmers to be the best for my bikes

I built a special construction titled custom a few years ago and it was a fortune to fully insure it. The only company my independent agent could find said they would only cover it up to 15k in value so I went with liability only. That made me nervous for the time I owned it. I eventually sold that bike and built an 01 Fatboy into a true custom. Beauty of that is that it insures as a H-D but is unlike anyone elses.
