sidecar advise please???

I finally got around to taking my trike/sidecar safety class and have decided on going with sidecar rather than trike. Only had the bike a year lol. Anyway I would like to find a good used car to put on my bike but not sure where to look, who to ask, or what prices are "reasonable". I am limited on funds and the less I spend the better, I dont mind having to do a little work to one if needed, to me thats half of the fun is tinkerin with stuff. I have a 2005 Road King Custom that I got last June and I am looking forward to riding it. I have Muscular Dystrophy and cant do the 2 wheeler, my Dad rides it for me so its not sitting up but I keep her all shiny and lookin good

I will quit rambling now, any info and help would be greatly appreciated.

PS If anyone is in the Northern Virginia area or Charlestown WV area and would be interested in helping me put on the car when I find and get one that would also be much appreciated as I dont know how to do it and want to learn.

If you get a used Harley sidecar, expect to pay about $2500-$3500. I paid $3500 for mine and got a steering stabilizer and a Champion 5 degree tripletree in the package. Champion charges about $1000 for one of these. I had the hack painted, another $1500 but a first class job. I am now having the triple tree installed, that will be about another $250-$350. I have ridden about 1000 miles or better without the raked tripletree, it will WHUUP you without the extra rake. Having said that, it is a first-class rig that would cost you about $10K from Harley, I have only a bit over half of that invested in mine. Good luck.
