Chopped Dyna any advise?

I plan on doing a old school chop to my perfectly good 2007 Dyna. Before I do a stretch on the swing arm I want to chop and rake the neck out. I dont want to change the trees. Anyone rake the neck on a later Harley? Any suggestion?

chopped dyna...

I've done several FXR;s, and here is my take.

The late model frames are more of a pain to rake. It also may affect tank mount and a few other things.

It is much simpler to go to 3 or 5 deg. raked trees.

Of course you'll need longer tubes.

Not a fan of stretching the swingarm. It makes too much gap, plus, depending on the amount, you may get chain slap, or need a longer belt.

A real clean method is raked trees, lowered rear shocks, different rear fender, change bars, forward controls (if needed), different, older style paint of sheet metal. Maybe blackout the motor.

These are fairly simple and inexpensive change that will get alot of looks.

Good luck,
