stupid question -speedo

I have an old school chopper with a RevTech 5-speed kick transmission and want to hook up an electronic speedo, mounted down near the engine. My question is where the speedo would connect to the tranny and if any adaptors would be needed or would it be a wiring connection? I have a micro J & P electonic speedo and have created a bracket, just working the connection now.

I am just finishing a built and on my 6 speed there is a trap door on the right side top of the transmission where you can attach the speed sensor. The sensor is avail. at most shops and is a replacement for stock.
Don't know if same for Revtech.
