Think I am going to buy this...

What do you think? It is a new custom build with the following components:
Santee Frame
Custom Chrome Front Wheel
HD Rear Wheel
HD EVO 1340
RevTech 5 Speed kick and Electric Start
Road Max 3 inch Open Primary
HD Fuel Tank
Oil Tank = Fire Extinguisher
CCI Rear Sprocket and Chain
CCI Handlebar
CCI Headlight
Russell Brakes
GMS Handlebar Controls
Perewitz Dash
V-Twin Rear Fender
Dyna Ignition

I would look at changing the rear fender and exhaust ASAP and possibly putting a solo springer seat on soon. Other than that I will change things if I feel is more is needed down the road. They wanted $14k originally and I can get it for $9k, I think it’s a deal. I can’t find a custom anywhere under $18k.

Thoughts?

Its ok for 9K. Its not a sale of the century type of deal. All the parts you listed are pretty basic and at the cheaper end of the spectrum. There is nothing wrong with them, but nothing special either. If you like the style than go with it. I would try to get it a little cheaper. Have you checked on insurance?

Heres my custom chopper I would sell you for $17K

I like it,is that a Jesse James Tank?

If i bought i would change

-Get rid of the kick start, all the red crap, billet oil tank, chrome or billet grips, nice short shots exhaust, get rid of those dodgey fender mounts & fabricate some internal ones to secure it to the frame, cut the rear guard on the rhs to match the lhs,

thats about all the easy stuff id change.

doesn't seem to have very much fork travel hard tail hard front. huh? Looks ok but the red does gotta go. Seat looks like something made out of an old ironing board. If it calls to you go for it.

Make sure it has a title, what it's titled as, and what insurance will run you.

If no title.... Does the seller have all the paperwork to get a title?

Thanks for all of the input. I bought the bike yesterday and have the title and insurance in hand, no issues. Things I am changing right away: Springer solo seat, changing oil tank and moving the battery under the seat, getting rid of dice and red grips, then soon I will changing the pipes, removed upside Harley emblem on AC. That all I can think of right now.

I'll second that, I think it's a cool bike and I hope you have lots of fun on it.
