I have a 2000 Titan Phoenix that I bought new. It now has 19,000+ miles without one problem. The only issue I have with it is, the bike is not worth anything. I have tried selling it on a couple of occasions asking as little as $6000.00 and I couldn't get any offers so I ended up giving it to my Son, but I think this is the case with any older "custom built" bike. I can't/won't buy Harley's for reasons of my own, so I now have two "custom built" bikes, this and a 2007 Propper Chopper. Anyway, if you are looking for someone who has a Titan and has had good/great luck, I am one of those guys, great bike. Good luck with yours.......Bob

Yes I totaly agree with you.I bought mine used with 2000 mi.I paid way less than blue book.It has 5000 now and no major problems. It is a very well built bike.I think a lot of the earlier models had problems.A lot of those people that paid outrages prices for custom bikes in the early 2000's found out the hard way what their bike was worth.I would tell anyone wanting a good used custom to look at Titan's.I really like my rubber mount bike.I would like to find another seat that will fit.It has a Danny Gray solo now.I also need to find out where to get a repacement Led tail light board or tail light for it.I heard that Titan went under again and some dealer in Phonix bought the stock and inventory, but I do'nt know who it was.I do know that there is a company that is on e-bay with some stuff.I have bought from them before.I got my service manual from them.

2 years ago, I damn near bought one of these at Myrtle Beach:

I wanted 6-8"risers and a set of drag bars on it. The salesman said I could get that and pick it up in Charlotte NC in a few days. I really fell in love with that bike. I'm glad I waited. I still wish I had it, but the price if I remember correctly was $26,000. Way too much. I wonder how much I could get one for now. As far as them going under, I don't think so. At least their website is still up and I think current. It says they will be at MB for bike week. I will look for them.

Von Zipper

While in Sturgis in 2006 I too saw the Titan Bobber and immediately fell in love with the bike. They had a gloss black with the 93" shovel that I tried to buy while there. The asking price was $26,000 and I could take delivery there, ride the bike for the week while in Sturgis and than they would drop it off at my house for free. I live in Mesquite, Nevada, right on the way home for them which was/is Arizona. While negotiating Titan found out that that bike belonged to an Atlanta dealer who was not willing to sell the bike for $26,000 and than wanted a delivery charge. Of course I passed on the deal. Titan said they would have one built and shipped to me and for the inconvenience they would not charge the delivery charge. I got home and started to do some research on the Von Zipper and found out Titan was using a chinese transmission, front springer, brakes, and frame. Titan called me within a day of the closer of Sturgis looking for an order, I questioned them on the Chinese parts and for the price they were asking for the bike I was no longer interested in the bike. They agreed to put PM brakes, and a Baker 6 speed transmission without any additional charge. I stilled passed on the deal.

I ended up buying Propper Chopper's bobber. It does not have that cool shovel head motor (S&S 113 Evo) but in Nevada where temps can get up to 110 and freeway speeds are 75+ that is probably okay. Oh and it is not a rigid frame. Two years later I still get a smile when I get on the PC Bobber. Sorry for the history lesson but I thought it was worth passing on...............
