Saxon Crown

Hi guys. New to the forum. I am considering the Crown from Saxon and wonder if any of you have ridden or have experience? I currently own a Saxon Broadsword and the build quality seems to be very good. My only concern is the bike is about $30K and may suffer limited interest in the resale market. Any comments appreciated.

Cool looking bike. Don't know anything about Saxon. I would say if you are concerned about resale then buy used and let someone else take the hit. Of course if this is a new model then you'll have to wait a couple of years to buy used. Expect to pay the most when you gotta have the latest.

The chopper market is very soft right now. Buy something that you can easily (ha-ha) sell when you get tired of it. Have you noticed that most all 2-3 year old choppers that are for sale only have a couple of thosand miles on them? American IronHorse just released 2 new models with an MSRP in the low 20's. And there are still plenty of leftover '06's at the dealers that can be bought in the 23-25 range. Same story with Big Dog. Best advice I can share with you is to buy a 2-3 year old bike for 15-18k.

the Black Crown has been out for over a year. AND there are USED ones available. SAXON has had some reliability issues with them, but then again what major manufactuer hasen't had a little trouble with their bikes.

This bike if bought new will lose AT LEAST $10g the first year. SAXON does not sell alot of bikes and the resale will SUCK!

.........and more importantly, you will have to make the price incredibly low for someone to buy it.

Good advice. The chopper market is really soft here in AZ. I currently have an 2006 FLSTFSE that is my daily rider. Any other advice as to what to look at in the used market? American Ironhorse? Big Dog?? Thanks again.

just stay with either one of those 2, and buy one 2-3 years old and you won't get hurt too bad when you sell it. Oh, and one other thing........ BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!!!!!
My '05 Legend is for sale for $20,900
