mikuni question

The bike is a flstc 95 inch, 42 mikuni,ness ac, big shot exhaust. I have a problem with fuel coming out the ac. I have read the link about the fuel stand off. The thing is that it doesn't do it all the time. I have taken the carb apart twice, cleaned the passages and set the float level. I checked to make sure the enrichener cable was not stuck. This was done according to the tuning manual. It seems to be worse when the weather is cool. I haven't got a clue why. For example this morning I took off to meet a friend, 25 miles later there is gas blowing all down the side. I stop wipe everything off and we ride around for 2-3 hours and no leak. I start back home and the rain starts and cools everything down and gas all over everything again. Any thought would help. Thanks, jr.

You Might contact mikuni usa.I have had a gas ,oil (from filter) mix some times but my problem was at higher speeds and it was a cam profile and exhaust problem causeing some reversion. But for me i could also hear the slide slap ,mikuni is know'n for that. Could your accel pump nossel be faceing any direction but inward. Got me stumped.

I checked the nozzle and it is pointed right in the middle of the throat. It will sometimes go for a week and not leak any gas or it might leak two times a day. It is driving me crazy. The only thing I can come up with is maybe the needle for the float is sticking. I guess I will get a kit and rebuild it.

there is an oring that seats the accel needle mine tore while changing jets causing the same type of symptom, you can check that out also?????
