frustrating carb shut down problems

Bike will just shut down and sometimes will not start back up for a couple minuates other times starts right back up. If i stay easy on it will run for longer time but as soon as i get into the throttle will shutdown and not start back up for little while. I have rejetted it very many times trying all sorts of combinations and problem still there. Replace petcock and gas cap also. What am i leaving out?

Sure it's the carb? Take the cap off and fire it up let it run see if it shuts off. Or go ride it and when it dies open the cap. see what happens

Did you tiewrap your carb vent tube somewhere too tite. I put a Mikuni on a buddys evo, ran perfect. The next week he said it kept stalling after a few minutes. Come to find out he tyewrapped the vent hose shut.

I have had a petcock go bad and just allow a trickle to flow through causing the bowl to drain and starve the engine of fuel.

Think i got it licked, I Supper cleaned every inch of the carb and replace the fuel line with a teflon center tube. Thinking that the old one was old and not shealding the heat so the gas would vaporize inside the tube before it could get to the carb. (fingers crossed). Hopefull this works i have had it out for a 15mile ride so far and no problems thanks for all your help.
