Went to check the air in my rear tire and as I unscrewing the valve cap, air started escaping. Seems the valve is stuck. Does not seem to leak with cap on. What's the best way to unstick the valve?

Your tire more than likely has a schrader valve in it.
Its probably either loose or the internal spring that closes the valve is stuck.

A special schrader valve tool should be used to tighten and/or remove the valve.

Thanks it is indeed a schrader valve. I'll ride by a tire shop on the way home. Thanks.
