Blast Mods

My wife (5'5", 115 lbs) is riding a Blast, basically her class bike. It is not exactly a V-twin but she likes it and can keep up with us although it sounds like a chain saw. Since she thinks the HD's are too big for her (she could not get the new Sportster off the kickstand in the showroom), I am considering putting in the breather kit, exhaust, and the cam kit from the Buell Pro-Series parts for her. I saw on TV where somebody set the Bonneville speed record for a normally aspirated 500cc single on a Blast, 125 mph.

Does anybody have any knowledge of these Blast performance mods?

I figure it is better than trading her up to a rice burner.

The Buell Pro Series pipe changes the tone from Briggs & Stratton pftttt to a more Baratone pop. Neighbor said my Blast sounded like his Dad's pre-war Indian.

I own a Blast, and have run the V&H pipe, V&H with torque cones (that was FUN), and the currently the Pro Series pipe with the Pro Series intake. Both methods give an extra 4-5 horses, and sweeten up the midrange. The Blast sounds ALOT better without the boat anchor muffler. You can get up to 45-50 horses if you spend enough money (sending engine to Nallin Performance in CO., the .44 Mag (44ci) set up is about $2700) You can put in XB9 cams, do a port and polish on the heads, and re-jet the carb and get alot of cheap power that way too. Pretty much anything you can do for a full size Harley can be done to a blast.
