My cousin wasn't going to be allowed to take his MC test on his Dyna without putting the "quiet" pipes on.
Let him use the Uly to take the test. Zipped threw the cones and did a stoppy on the brake test.
He past.

My son has a Buell Blast. I thought it would be a wimp in the corners, but the lil econobike is just what its' name implies-A BLAST. I laid it over as far as my nads thought I should and it held on like it was glued to the road. I would love to ride a Uly and really tear it up on some twisties. My Ducati 996 is more fun but the Buell is a utility bike made for fun in any terrain. The only bike that might give it a go is possible a 650 BMW for utility.

the 650 is not the competition, nice bike but not a Uly.
This fall BMW is coming out with an 800GS, that is gonna be the competition.

I rode one of the GS1200's, and while it's a nice bike, for the money I didn't see why anyone would want it over the Ulysses, other than the BMW name.

tried the 1200, and 650, also the KTM, which I liked, but I really like the Uly, wish the bags would get here, the 4th is coming fast.

did I mention how gdgood the front brake is?
I know I didn't mention that I hate idiots. Especially idiots that fill a 1/2 ton PU with 3 tons worth of hay bails and strap it down with a wish.
sure glad I don't have hay fever.
did I mention how great the front brake is? that is the right brake to use ain't it?

I got to ride the ully, GS1200 and the triumph tiger (all 07 models) back to back to back and it was no contest the tiger was the one I would spend my money on and I love harleys. I was hoping to like the Uly best, but it was back of the pack for me. Both the tiger and gs had better motors and the tiger's suspension was much better. I was disappointed in the lack of go but my guess is the aftermarket could change that.

I had a Triumph Tiger Cub back about '63.
Lots of memories there. But the 1050 Tiger is not a dual sport.

That's a bummer. You'll look funny on the Uly with a backpack full of beer.
