Realizing the abundance of crickets in here, I'll probably post in the general discussion forum as well. LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME syndrome, you know. Went for almost two weeks without a scoot. Decided to curb the withdrawls by picking up a 2001 Buell Lightning with 2400 easy miles on it. Not exactly my old hot rod 'DX but about the same horse and 200 lbs or so lighter. WAHOOO!!! This thing aughtta be more fun than a barrell of monkeys... Never really did understand that saying. Unless of course a semi-automatic weapon is factored into the equation. Then it all makes sense, to me anyway. Here's a pic if it works. It's an ugly little fooker...

The bike is very clean and unmolested. Velocity stack in the air box and either White Bros or Supertrapp exh. Nice for what it is but compared to the 'DX,,, well? Apples and oranges I suppose. Got it right and it's nice as new.

Got the bike earlier this evening. '02 XI. Just snuck it out at dusk for a familiarization run. All I have to say so far is that I've just bought a very fast, very clean, as in virtually new in appearance and function, motorsickle! I'd dare say this bike is better than new since the guy kept every last piece of documentation that he'd ever gotten regarding the bike. From the original odometer statement to reciepts for all parts and svc. All the paperwork organized in a folder. A trick pegasus timer cover to match the derby, still in the package. Buell jacket, helmet, gloves, all the original parts sans muffler, oh well. Dowco breathable outdoor cover, factory svc manual, owners manual. He'd put on a White Bros E Series exh and factory race K&N velocity stack intake. I thought he was gonna cry as he walked to the mini-van. Even felt kinda sorry for him,,, kinda! This guy takes very good care of his stuff! Just a click over 2300 miles on it so I plan to do the 2500 mi svc asap. What a riot this thing's going to be! WOOHOO

Thanks... And a big thank you for serving your country and protecting our freedom. Don't think much of why you're there but appreciate what you're doing.
