Thumbs up to Bean @ Big Boyz

Well its only been a month and I can finally say my build is done. I brought a bunch of parts to Bean and said put this motor together for me and he did. It turns out I'm not very good at picking parts that go well together and to say the first build s*cked was an understatement. It ran great if you wanted to run it at 5000 RPM but thats not the way I drive my bagger.

So off came the SEp heads and on went a set of Big Boyz Street Ported heads (stage 47.5).

Out came the Wildthings TC2 and in went an Andrews 26a

and this is the way a Bagger should run...........

and what did I learn.......talk to your mechanic BEFORE you start ordering parts and listen.

Thanks much Bean & Springer for helping me straighten out this mess and for the 9 hour class today on how you can fix your screw up yourself.

And thanks to MaineUltraClassic for spinning wrenches with me today.

HD-LUX is on a distinguished road

When I was ready to do the heads I talked to a few people and Bean and the gang over at BigBoyz Head Porting taught me a lot about what works together and what setup would work best for what kind of motor and driving style. Their basic street port and milling looked great, fit perfectly, and really woke up my Stage II motor! And when I had a question about bleeding down my lifters they were an easy phone call away--ready to help out as much as I needed with the install. Without a doubt their heads have been the single best bang-for-your-buck upgrade I've made.
