The 15 pin connector IS video. There are some USB to Serial adapters that do not work with the SERT. I personally like the PCMCIA serial ports. It is a PC card that uses the PCMCIA slot and gives you a REAL serial port. They can be had on eBay for less then $20. As a side note, you can still get laptops with serial ports. They are typically higher end laptops. Also note that you can use a regular PC with a serial port to upload maps.
