There was a great thread (now classic) that dealt with the highly controversial topic of waving during daylight hours.

Now the question of waving after dark has been raised.

Perhaps this thread should be moved to the Religion-Politics arena...It's starting to smell alot like a religious debate.

In the mean time, I will add my few nuggets to the ever growing, heaping pile of steaming verbiage. Look, there is some corn and a peanut.

I have looked it up in Dave's Encyclopedia of motorcycle etiquette. Chapter 9 to wave or not to wave, section B, night time waving.

"Waving at night is an approved method of motorcycle cool dude communication only if one or more of the following criteria are met or exceeded: There are chicks in revealing clothing involved, there is sufficient lighting to show your H-D tank logo or the H-D tank logo on the bike you are waving at, You are sure beyond a Shadow of a doubt that the bike you are contemplating waving at can see you, is a H-D and is making eye contact...."
