Lightnin is an unknown quantity at this point
I'll have to admit, when I was looking for a Harley, I didn't consider the Sportster. I like the look and feel of a Fatboy. I'm not a large guy either...tipping the scales at 175 and 6 ft. I just thought the Fatboy was all I would ever need. I still hold a lot of love for the Fatboy...or even old Panheads. Price does have a lot of factor into it...that's why I got the 1200 Custom. I like it. Sure, I'd still like a "beefier" bike but the Sporty has plenty of HP after I've done some modifications and re-jetting as well as putting a big hole in the baffles. I think it's a great bike to learn on and get familiar with riding. I may eventually go to a Fatboy...but not for some time....I'm enjoying my Sporty till the cashcow comes home.
