Your right... it appears I truly am a moron... I added everything up incorrectly. I updated the origenal post with the correct numbers. IMO, its still a deal cause you get the SE A/C with a much better Air Cleaner.
I also checked out Zanotti's web site and priced everything out again. Here's the latest as of today (note again, prices will/do change):
Part# - Quantity - Price Then - Price Now - Total - Description
29478-05A - 1 - $9.66 - $9.66 - $9.66 - Gray Back Plate
29620-99 - 1 - $6.54 - $6.54 - $6.54 - Chrome A/C Insert (optional)
29583-01A - 1 - $0.83 - $0.83 - $2.52 - A/C Gasket
99642-97 - 1 - $5.68 - $5.90 - 5.90 - 243 Blue Loctite
29557-05 - 2 - $8.88 - $8.18 - $16.36 - Breather Plug
11292 - 2 - $1.16 - $0.90 - $1.80 - O-Ring
29447-99A - 3 - $8.13 - $8.71 - $26.13 - A/C Mounting Stud
3938 - 3 - $1.80 - $0.60 - $1.80 - Torx Screw
Total Then: $72.08 Total Now: $70.71
I also checked out fox-performance's web site and their price for the K&N HD-0800 air filter has gone up since my origenal post. It was $36.43. It is now $50.95.
This brings the total for the base kit to $121.66. Not as good of a deal as it was, but its still a pretty good deal over the stock HD SE Stage-1 A/C in my opinion due to the K&N air filter. You can also hack off $5.90 for the loctite and get a bigger bottle somewhere else. Loctile is always something you want on hand in your garage, so it doesn't really apply to the real cost of this kit (or should I add the cost of the wrenches too?).
You can also take off $6.54 for the Chrome A/C Insert since it serves no functional purpose. This brings the grand total to $109.22, making it an even better deal even compared to the Big Sucker. The Big Sucker isn't as well made IMO with the thin aluminum backing plate etc.
