Hi all, Jim here from NH. I had a 02 Road King and had my 9th back surgery when my Surgeon told me I shouldn't ride a bike any longer after the last surgery I had in 02. They put some metal rods in and he was afraid that it would screw things up. So anyway, this is all told to me "after" I have well over $11,000.00 of things done to it and before I could stop them from doing the upgrades. So needless to say I lost about 7 grand. I was a little upset but hey ya win some and ya lose some and if this surgery was going to help my pain what they hell could I do.
Well 2 years later in 04 and my pain is "WORSE"!!!! Well in the meantime after selling the Road King I bought a 96 Corvette with some of the money from the King. So now I'm in the condition where my back pain could get no worse from riding a bike and I'm getting sick of the Vette (Hey a cage is a cage, right). So I put an ad in the paper with no results. One afternoon I'm thinking to myself to look in the paper for bikes for sale and call them and ask if they would think about trading for the Vette. Couldn't hurt but I figured no one would do such a thing, if they were selling their bike they most likely want (Cash). I wanted a Fat Boy so I see this ad for a 01 Fat Boy with all kinds of Chrome, just about what I added on my Road Kind, and it's a carbed model which is what I wanted. So I called the guy and told him my story. He thought a minute and then said "You know, it's a bike I bought for my wife and I have my own so it sounds like a good idea, just have to talk the wife into it." I could not believe it!!! So anyway he comes and falls in love with it and says it's a done deal but first has to have his wife look at it. She came that Sunday (two days later) with the Fat Boy in a trailer. I took the bike for a scoot while they took out the Vette. When they came around the corner to my house the wife had a big **** eating grin on her face that she could not get off so when she got out I said "SO can I park (MY) Fat Boy under my porch?" She said "YES". Hahahaha.... SO the deal was done.
Well anyway, I took the tins off about 3 weeks ago. I sanded them down to the sheet metal and primed them, then I did this painting technique that is called marblizing with a Oriental Blue Kandy over it. It came out really sharp!! I hope to soon get it posted on my web page so I can post the link and you can all check it out in the different stages. I'm all set except for the Clear Coat and wet sand and then buff out but I don't have a garage and am painting outside so weather is everything and it's been raining ever since I sprayed my Kandy blue!!! I'm going crazy wanting to finish and put it back together and show it off around town!! I'll post the link as soon as I get the pics post on my site. Still recupperating from the spraying. Killed my back so I'm taking extra morphine. I usually take 90 mgs 3 times a day and with the extra pain I take it 4 times a day but it's only for 3 or 4 days then it goes back to normal.
Well I guess I wrote enough for now.

Hope I didn't bore ya all. Glad to be on the forum but how does one attach a picture?? Or for that matter look at one that's been posted? I tried and it brought me to a blank page that said I was not allowed to see that page?!?
