It's sort of a moot point with me. I won't be paying their silly high prices for a quart of oil at the dealer anymore.
Yes, I can afford it. There are oils that work just as well for close to half the price.
In fact, I try to stay away from the dealer whenever I can. My local dealer has the highest labor price of any that I saw in the thread about labor. That carries over to other things as well.
