1 inch front and rear. The ride is just a little stiffer but not bad. If you are already scraping the ground it will be worse with the lowered bike. I guess I ride mine like the geezer I am. It got my feet closer to the ground plus I like the look of a lowered bike. I had tried the "Reach" seat from H-D and it got my feet closer but I didn't like the comfort, or lack of.
