Man this forum is awesome!
Anyway my bike is bone stock with the exception of the slip-ons. It does make me a little nervous about possible running to lean. It does have alot of added on things like low windshield, grips, quick detach tour pack etc. I bought it with 14,000 miles. I also love the fuel injection. I was unloading it from the trailer last night it was about 20 degrees and I just turned the key, waited for the light to go off and the darn thing just jumped to life. No choke, no caughing, sputtering, hacking, etc. like the old sporty.
The place were I bought it from called the original owner because I wanted to know if it had the stage 1 down load or anything else done to it. The owner was a hell of a nice guy I guess he had his hip replaced and can no longer ride although I did point out to him that he could always get a sidecar.
I of course went over my budget but hope to get ac and download as soon as funds are available, and maybe new pipes. I just ordered a manual hoping to get a better understanding of what all the controls do.
My first bike was a 02 883R. I bought it because I loved the look but quickly found out that it was not ment to haul my fat ass and my wife. This led to my wife learning to ride and getting a Buell Blast. She loves her Buell but after sitting on the back of my bike last night leaning against the tour pack and relising that she could control the volume and channel controls on the radio from the back she said that if we were riding together that she would probably just jump on back. Needless to say we are really excited
hoping to post pics tomorrow
thanks,
