correct me if I am wrong but if you buy a "better" oil pump and retain the same spring, the oil pump does nothing for you. The spring is a pressure bypass spring. once the pressure hits a certain point it opens and bleeds off any excess oil flow to maintain a constant pressure.

So what is the benifit of changing the pump? Just changing the spring will increase your pressure. And as mentioned earlier in the thread, shimming the spring will continue to increase the pressure.
