Bought this bike last weekend in boxes. Super cheap. Has clear title. Pictures you see are after I started pre-assembly too make sure I had all the parts and also to figure what parts I'll selling. Motor was a fresh build to a 80 cubic inches, solid lifters, dual plug per cylinder motor, fresh built 4 speed tranny (kick start). Paughco hard tail frame. Narrow Glide front end. Anyway enjoy the pictures and I'll try to update as much as possible.
Tank and fender should be in my possession on Nov 6th. Here is a quick video of the bike running. Mark from Frontline Cycles here in longmont brought down his fire bomb. Fine tunning the bike and checking to make sure everything is good to go.
ha ha, yeah I know. it's killing me being here at work. I should have called in sick so I can work on the bike all day, plus it's going to be in the mid 70's today. I could be out riding it!!
I wonder if a Dyna could be done like that and if it would look as nice. Maybe there are just too many little wires and clunky things on a Dyna to ever clean it up real nice. Don't know. Has it been done?? In the wind.
Great Job! Looking forward to hearing how she runs going down the road! Glad you went with the barrel oil tank, I like the wraparounds on long bikes but them bobbers need the keg.
Thanks! Agreed, I like the round oil tanks on the bobbers too. Hopefully I'll get some video this weekend. Had to remove the transmission to adjust the shift timing.
Removed the vintage style oil filter canister and replaced with a spin on type. Will be much less of a mess changing filters and the "Vintage" style one did not seal as well and vibrated like hell.
Also decided to add a speedo. However did not not want the speed on the bars. Don't really need a speedo, but wanted it to keep track of mileage on the motor and trans.
the new additions look great Bob....bike turned out awesome. Now that its winter you'll keep goin out to the garage...looking at it and go...hmmmm....maybe I'll try this.
