As for the v-rod it is one cool lookin ride, I have never owned or ridin one so my comments are just about buying used. I would do the investigation as to what years you were interested in and then take you're time as to seeing what's available. Really check out the bike you're interested in, don't just look at it and fall in love. See if you can get maintenance records or find out who serviced it, possibly even get it checked out by a mechanic you trust. Beings that it's a sport bike you don't want to lay out you're money for something that's been run hard and put up wet.
