Hi. Hope the New Year is going well for you.
Several years ago, you wrote a thread about Valve Adjusting for a Newbie. You mentioned how setting the front cyl. at top dead center, and verifying that it was on the compression stroke by sighting the timing mark, to set the 2 front hydraulic valve tappets.

I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I'm wondering: If the front piston at TDC is on the compression stroke with the timing mark visible, would it be safe to assume that if the front cyl is at TDC and the timing mark IS NOT VISIBLE, that the rear cyl. valve tappets would then be ready to adjust? Or is it easier just to put the rear cyl. at TDC and see if both tappets are down?

And in your opinion, is it better to seat the pushrod on a fully collapsed tappet and back it off 1 to 1-1/2 turns; OR turn 4 full turns down after the initial contact with the un-collapsed tappet?
Thanks a bunch for your help.
