If your leak is between the head and the rocker box, when you take it apart look closely at the rocker box gasket to see if it was installed backwards. This rarely happens during assembly, but I've seen it three times over the years. If the gasket is installed incorrectly, it exposes a small portion of the head breather track and will allow oil to leak. Because of where the leak occurs it will often take lots of miles before it becomes obvious.
The whole job went very smooth, the manual says to remove the rocker shafts and rockers, I left those in place, can't understand why they tell you to do that unless it's for inspection reasons ???
