In working for the wireless communication industry, I too, still get annoyed w/ people driving while on the phone. Here in New Jersey, it is now illegal for doing it w/o some sort of hands-free device, and I'm sure all states will eventually follow this.
I get even more annoyed at law enforcement for 2 reasons: 1. They appear to ignore the law, and not enforce it. 2. I also see so may officers on their personal phones while patroling. Are they exempt from this law??
I obviously believe this is one of many distractions while driving, this one just seems like the 'hot topic' these days. And with the growing popularity of 'smart phones', and Blackberries, the issue has the abilty to grow even worse. If I were able to hand out a simple $10.00 headset to those soo ignorant to the law, I would! And let's not get too caught up in the 'blocker' devise. Then I would have to search out a new occupation!
