I've had the loud pipes and I've had the quiet pipes. At this point in my life I will trust my driving skills and situational awareness over the hopes that the kid in the sound proof Lexus with a cell phone to one ear and the stereo on 11 will hear me.

Now what loud pipes are really good for is permanently damaging your hearing. I was also a bass player in a R&R band for many, many years and between standing next to an insane drummer, years of drag racing, and the 40" drag pipes on my Sporty I now have a little friend who sings in my ear, ALL THE TIME. Look up tinnitus to get a preview of what your middle age is going to hold for you. And that's MISTER FOOL to you.......
