You honk your horn every time to pull in the driveway? Ouch, my neighbors already have to hear my pipes, I'd hate to add to their headaches. I like your idea though.
I have the spare keyfob that I clip onto my throttle cables that works okay, but I would rather have something more hidden like yours.
