I love the sound of the new slip ons (my bike doesn't sound like a huge sewing machine now), but I do notice some popping when coasting. Also I can see some bluing of the front pipe between the heat shields around the rider floorboards (but it could be that I never noticed it before).
Anyhow, I was reading about this mysterious Mode 19 throttle recal. I didn't see anything in the instructions about it. My bike has the fly-by-wire throttle -- just wondering if this would help.
Thanks,

Hi ... you can read my other posts but I have the same setup and the same popping problem. Everyone I have run across with an '08 or '07 and Ovals has the same issue ... popping. I have gone back and forth with V&H many times, tweaked this and that, made sure I have no exhaust leaks (even siliconed the slip-on joints) ... it has improved somewhat but the bottom line is it is still there ... and V&H seems to be ignoring my emails now ... so I guess they are admitting they just can't get their own products to work together.
For now I'm just living with it but do find it annoying. At this point I'm taking time to listen to other pipes and when I find some I like will be jetesoning the Ovals ... unfortunately because I like thier sound ... but that pop, pop, pop makes a $25,000 bike sound like a piece of crap ...
