Well, I've ordered the tuner and hope to get it in a few weeks. See if I can get the heat down. Anyway I will get the valve open; Software or Steelware (as you suggested Viennahog). Cops aren't to difficult over here. On my evo life seemed easier, or maybe I didn't give it much thought; just installed half open pipes, did nothing to the carberator and just ride. Gas to lean or engine to hot? I didn't know. Knowing (reading) is worrying . My "jekill & hyde" pipes were equiped with a valve. This was great; in town/near cops, a push on the button and the pipes were quiet (valve closed). Another push and the valve was open; nice sound. No worries with the evo. My dealer did'nt allow (warranty/software problems) me to put the pipes on the twin cams. Anyway, when I go to work with the tuner I will share the problems.....
