Happy you had the satisfaction of finding the problem. I used to work for a hydraulic systems manufacturer. Their claim to fame was building complex manifolds. They had a at least five people who's job was making sure all holes were connected and of coarse ones that should not be connected. They used fiber optic lights pipe cleaners and carbide burs on 14" long 1/8" shafts to get inside to clean up that the drills missed. I think the MOCO needs a letter from you and what you found.
