when you look at the back side of the plate you will see 4 holes in almost a vertical line 1 is a bolt hole and the others corresponds to the oil passages on the engine case. Our engine cases only have two oil holes, it is the upper hole that needs to be plugged in the cam plate. The thumb nail pix that boriqua posted shows the difference, our motors are the upper example, you can see the added boss with o ring counter bore above the block with the 3 vertical holes on is a bolt hole 2 are oil passages. If you are unsure which one to plug smear some grease on the mating surface on the case and plug the hole with no grease transfer on the cam plate. I discovered my problem the night before a club ride about 11 pm I looked through all my fittings and could not find the right pipe plug but found I was able to force a 5/16 fine thread set screw into the hole so I did with red lock tight and it is still that way now.
