First off, I'm no wrench so I am only sharing what I think I know. SERT is not a piggyback. You use it to alter the existing map in the ecm. Or you can download a fresh map (several maps come with the software?) and then adjust that fresh one to fine tune it. Either way you are adjusting the map in the ecm when you use the sert. You need a dyno to really get it dialed in good. With enough trial and error and using the data record mode you can also get it pretty close.

Now, someone who really knows can set us straight...
