jcunny is on a distinguished road
I have a 2008 Street Glide and just installed the new V&H FuelPak #61009. I have Sampson 28" slip-on ovals and high flow air cleaner. V&H originally told me to us the FP-1720 set-up but when I did that the bike ran poorly and smelled of fuel. On the spec sheet that came with the FuelPak it says to use FP-1717 for oval slip-ons. I used this set-up and the bike seems to run okay but I am concerned that these settings may refer to HD slip-ons and not Sampsons. I emailed V&H tech support and here is their response. FP-1718 is also a good map! if it works well stay with it. Every bike is a little different. By adding the Fuelpak you get the most out of your pipes, you avoid running lean and ruining your engine, and you should also see a much crisper throttle response.
Can you help me out? I am somewhat of a novice.
