I put a 3" lift on my 2003 Dyna and the tank started leaking.
The rear tank weld got stressed. Put a new tank on (still with the lift on) and 1 year later that tank started leaking also (same weld area). Replaced that tank and tossed the lift and so far no problems. Not sure if there was a bad batch of tanks in 2003 or if the tank lift caused the problem. I'm glad I had the extended warranty because each 2003 tank replacement was about $900. I sure did like the look of the lift though.
