Purple Haze, I know you, yes you need to pay to have an avatar, yes you can post pics but they do have a size limit and you wont be able to see your own pics if you use the standard attachement method unless your a paid member. here is the list of file types and size limits.

I host and insert my own pic's into the threads that im posting in and avoid all of this problem, oh and by the way they have already seen the CC/CP CVO fatboy, I posted it a few pages back first post #517 so this is old news now , but feel free to post more if it make you feel good.
