Don't own a Harley

Ok, I'm opening myself for a bashing, but I really would like to get a feel for how HD riders will react. I have the opportunity (ticket, a place to stay and a Harley rider friend for the trip) to be part of the 100th. My friend says it's all in how I look at it, but I ride a Honda. I almost bought a HD but did not and really is not relevent to this thread why I didn't.
How do you guys/girls feel, it's the 100th and here is this guy riding a Honda?

Cool, have a blast. Never worry about what others think and always let that be their problem.

So what's the problem? I'll be riding my Road King right next to my bud's Valkery(sp?).

I don't have any issues really. I'm just looking to see how HD riders feel about it. My buddy has a 02 springer and I just did not have the extra 8K to get out the door without a loan on that model. I go to all the rallies except sturgis, I think I'd have to rent an HD for that one!

Regards,
ufo

You will be welcome, dont worry about it, it's going to be GREAT! Also Sturgis is not "Harley only", it's all motorcycles! I would estimate it's 75% Harley's. The man that started Sturgis was an Indian dealer and racer.

Dude, it's yer scoot. You bought it. You maintain it. You ride it. Fuc anybody who doesn't like it.

Don't let misinformation ruin a potential good time. We HD riders are not going to burn yer scoot 'cuz it's not a HD. We may give ya yer share of sheit, but that's to be expected ....isn't it?

I rode my Honda Shadow (yes I still have it) everywhere. If people told me they didn't like it, it's a HD copy whatever.... I just told em piss off, I didn't buy it so you would like it.

Have a good time. At least you will be riding. I have a couple of buddies that are flying in because they and their old ladies are too candy-assed to ride from Virginia. They have rented a mini-van to get around in, but I'm sure they will be all decked out in their biker gear posing all the way.

Bring the Honda and have a good time. Just make sure you put synthetic oil in it and wave

all that crap about "harley" events not welcoming other brands is a bunch of whoie from what I have seen. Never been to one yet that "banned" other bikes.

Have a ball enjoy the party!!

Great feedback! You sorta worry, here in the area (Winston-Salem/Greensboro NC) you hardly ever get a wave from a HD rider. Looking forward to the ride up from here. Might not be a Honda now, got my eyes on the 2004 Road Star. Too bad HD is delaying 04's, might of bitten on a V-rod engine on a springer...

HD is supposed to have the 04 models at the party and free test rides. You are supposed to have a helmet if you want to test ride one.
