HDF gathering?
Here's the time, date, & place. Well see you then..
8-30-03 between noon & 5pm
The directions are from I94, exit 319 which is College ave. Take College as far East as it'll go (guestimate 4 miles or you'll be in the lake) and then turn right. Now you'll be on Lake Dr. headed south turn left (about a block) at your first chance. There will be a park sign that says "Will-O-Way Grant" this drive will lead you into a parking lot. I'm sure you'll see us.
Original post:
I have the last week of August off for vacation and I've been thinking about getting a permit for a picnic area for that saturday the 30th. What I was think was maybe from noon until say 5 we could have a HDF gathering with beer, soda, and food. Im not think of an all out bash or anything but just a gathering. If your coming to Milwaukee for the 100th, what do you think? Any sugestions...

Set it up, fellas. Pick the date, time and place and start advertising it.
Oh, by then everyone should have their H/D Forum t-shirts so it'll be easy finding each other.
We've had small get togethers before. Laughlin, Las Vegas, now down at Daytona and the upcoming H/D Forum "ride" here in So Cal. A get together, an "eyeball", at the 100th is a great idea!

Jim, are you going to make the 100th party? I know it would be a good little ride for you and your lady friend

Won't be able to make it. We're doing Sturgis instead.
We were able to make the party/tour when it was in So Cal.
I posted on the thread because IMHO a get together at the 100th would be a good idea. I think a lot of members will be in attendance and it would be a wonderful opportunity to put a face with a name.

Sounds like a good idea. I could probably make it. I will be riding back and fourth from Madison. So, I won't be there for the entire length of the 100th celebration, but I will be there at least 2 days.

Ok, I've got an area reserved for the 30th. Right now it is secured for 50 people but it can be increased (I believe). I'll keep those who post their intrest informed. The only question I have right now is who wants to man the grill?

I think I could talk my wife into "Man the grill" She does all the cooking on the Weber Buzz, I got to hand it to you on that picture, you think of every thing We are going to do a road trip up to Fond da Loc and check out the hotel that we have booked for the 100th. I want to see it with my oun eyes, kind of make sure it is really there Maybe we can hook up for dinner or something It will probably be in a month or two.

I thought I'd do a little cleaning and dust off this thread(man that was rough ). Now that it is less than 2 months away I thought it would be good idea to drag it back out. If anybody is interested post a message or pm me. Either way I hope to meet anybody who will be going to the 100th. Take care and ride safe.
