I bought my Harley from them, I don't think you should pay to go to their celebration of us making them rich ! If you go, enjoy. I am not telling anyone not to go. I am just stating why I will not go !!

Honestly, I believe this is a really great deal they've got here. The Summerfest grounds has multiple stages for bands. I Dont know who they are going to have playing there but my guess it wont be anything shabby. Normaly tickets for the regular summerfest event is something like $12 which bring you to $36 for the 3 days. Then there is going to be the art museum showcase. This place is pretty impressive looking from the outside. Now I get an excuse to check out the inside. The normal admission into this place looks like $20. so this brings the package to $56. And the party on the 31st at veterans park is free. I hope I'm not being to biased because I live in the area but WOW. I've got my ticket.

Markcuda,
Thanks, I should be asleep now but I've been waiting 7 months now and the anticipation is killing me now that I seen my bike.
The tickets are $55 at the above link.
To get into the summerfest grounds you'll need the tickets. But you can get into the party on the 31st at veterans park for free. Im just going by the details they have on their page that the link takes me to.
I'll try to keep everyone informed on what is happening localy for that weekend (different events) in this forum.

This is exactly the point.
HD is in control. They won't tell you sh*t!
Every run I've ever been to has always posted: what was happening and who the bands will be.
I guess they figure you will come and spend your money anyway so why should they care?
This "party" isn't like a normal run where the promoters want you to come back next year. With HD, there won't be a next year.
I have more to rant about but I'll let others have their say.

So we buy gas from Arabs, we buy half of what we wear from the Chinese, we buy software and other things from some of the most corrupt companies in North America....and now suddenly people want to miss out on a good time so they can say they did it to protest the greed of a 100 year old American company that they bought their motorcycle from.
Give me a break....you go ahead and stay home and sulk...I'm gonna go see a concert and hang with some other Harley riders. If you really had any principals you wouldn't have bought the bike...just admit you either can't or don't want to go. Don't try to make it into some big phoney "Anti-Harley protest march".

Right on Logical. I'll be there too and I plan on having a hell of a good time.
Buzz, please keep posting updates, it's nice having a local as they usually know ahead of time what's what.

I'm with TA on this one. I already gave them 12g's for a bike. Why should I pay another hundred to celebrate them getting fat for 100 years?
I'll probably pay another 12 in the future but, I don't buy into all the other hype. Just my 0.02

Well, I'm going. I know I gave them a bunch of my hard-earned money for a bike. I usually don't get into all their marketing crap by buying everything HD and looking like a mobile logo for them. BUT, this is the 100th anniv party. It's a good excuse for a road-trip and meet with some other bikers and accessories vendors, and it sure as he!! beats staying home.

Sorry man, no barn. But I did give a call to this nice hotel on the lake for ya. They said to call back starting next month she expects there will be cancelations. This place is about an hour south of the party. If ya want I can send ya a link to it.
